The troublesome original release, named for the problematic first brew day which hugely emphasised its hop bitterness. It's matured and evolved nicely over the years. Big tropical hop flavour from local varieties with strong bitterness from an English hop to honour its origins, all balanced by plenty of malt.

Parrotdog's own Sundog, a Pilsner starring the vivid passionfruit and white wine notes of New Zealand hops, is much easier to find, but just as crisp and bright.

Deep ruby-red to burnished copper with excellent clarity, vibrant fusion of tropical and citrus notes backed with caramel, toasted toffee and hints of biscuit. Chewy red malts provide a smooth, rounded mouthfeel with flavours of caramelised sugar, light toffee. These are lifted by bright tropical fruit and white wine notes.
