This wine is a soft and velvety Merlot combined with the more powerful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes producing a luscious red wine. The reason this blend works so well is that the two varieties complement each other allowing a fuller flavour wine with an all round mouth feel.

The Private Bin series has been inspired by the McGuigan family tradition to always share a special family wine with their guest. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is widely planted across South Australia's premium wine regions, particularly in the Limestone Coast where grapes with tremendous structure and beautiful aromatics are found. Well-regarded since its launch in 2002, the Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the merits of multi-regional blending to Penfolds 'House Style'. A bold, full bodied wine displaying lovely aromatics, excellent structure, and great length.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

Aromas of ripe red currants, blackberries with hints of sage, mint and toasty oak. The palate shows subtle red fruits while having some grainy long tannins. Dual appellation - Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale.

At St Hugo, they craft wines that exude power and elegance, embodying the essence of their rich winemaking heritage. This Cabernet Shiraz brings together two of Australia's biggest wine regions, Coonawara and Barossa Valley, to create a perfectly blended wine that is seamless, deep and complex. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

This is a wine of great intensity. It has distinctive blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavours. Subtle oak characters of cedar cigar box and spice are also evident. The tannins are fine and elegant - a hallmark of the varietal. The palate is well balanced, complex and fulfilling and lingers on the finish.

This is a rich full-bodied wine yet at the same time, remains in balanced across the palate with fine, elegant tannins – the hallmark of great Cabernet.

A balanced, medium-bodied wine with a gentle palate of juicy blackcurrant fruits, along with subtle coffee and savoury cedar. The wine has a silky smooth mouth feel and a lingering finish.

First made in 1982, Awatea continues to represent the best of the classic Hawke's Bay Cabernets/Merlot blend. Floral aromas with intense blackberry, currant and dark plum flavours lead to a rich, supple palate with a sustained finish. Awatea will continue to evolve in bottle for ten years from harvest.
